BIKE EFFECT SALES ASSOCIATE

Part time / Full time

Bike Effect’s Sales Associate is an expert on the subject of road cycling and is dedicated in delivering a superior customer experience. As the first person any visitor to Bike Effect will meet, the Bike Effect Sales Associate must be warm and welcoming, a people person. The Bike Effect Sales Associate is able to discover a customer’s implicit and explicit needs through conversation, through personal product knowledge, and road cycling experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a superior Bike Effect experience by engaging, developing, and maintaining relationships with all clients.
  • Drive sales by effectively discovering the customer’s needs and presenting appropriate and creative solutions.
  • Create a friendly and welcoming environment, where the sport and culture of road, cyclocross, triathlon, and track cycling can flourish.
  • Communicate positively about the Bike Effect brand at all times.
  • Maintain the highest visual merchandising and housekeeping standards.
  • Support the Bike Effect team and work together to create an inspiring and positive working environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2 years experience in a superior retail environment.
  • Passion for delivering superior customer experiences.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations.
  • Strong people skills, excellent written and verbal communication, approachable and engaging personality.
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate initiative.
  • Mechanical aptitude specific to bicycle operation, set-up, and basic repair.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and willingness to problem solve to meet business needs.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Apple Mac.
  • Possess knowledge of road cycling and professional cycling and a strong desire to ride your bike.

BIKE EFFECT ASSISTANT MANAGER

Full Time / Salaried

Bike Effect’s Assistant Manager leads the team in providing a superior customer experience. Through strategic vision, passion for cycling, and the Bike Effect brand, the Assistant Manager ensures the store maximizes its profitability. The Assistant Manager leads the team in the efficient running of the store, both front and back of house and coordinates regularly with Fit and Service in order to achieve operational excellence. Strong commercial awareness skills are vital and building relationships with clients and vendors will ensure the store’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high performing retail and service team, ensuring the employee experience is in line with brand strategies and drives the customer experience.
  • Drive sales by effectively discovering the customer’s needs and presenting appropriate and creative solutions.
  • Develop a customer database to create a community around the shop that creates a local loyal customer base.
  • Be the ultimate Bike Effect Ambassador, seen by others as a role model and bring to life Bike Effect’s brand and values: Dependability, Integrity, Creativity, and Initiative.
  • Ensure the store staffing and staff schedules are optimized to match customer traffic flows and operational demands.
  • Drive productivity and profitability by identifying opportunities while developing relationships and communicating effectively with both clients and management.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed and profit protection strategies are in place and employed to minimize any losses.
  • Provide high value feedback to management when required.
  • Ensure seamless execution of Bike Effect’s warm and exacting retail and service experience and adhere to precise visual standards.
  • Cascade communications to all members of the store team and lead by example when embracing Bike Effect branding messages.
  • Ensure events are managed in partnership with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with management to create a warm, luxury store environment. Ensure all employees are effectively developed and coached to achieve overall success.

The Ideal Candidate
 Bike Effect Assistant Manager candidate will have the following experience:

  • 3+ years store management and ordering experience in a luxury retail environment.
  • A passion for delivering a superior customer experience.
  • A proven track record of delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop and assess talent.
  • The creativity and drive to build and host memorable event experiences at Bike Effect, bringing value to our clients’ lives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and agile to exceed client needs and to meet business needs.
  • Computer proficiency with Apple Mac.
